The fee for a saxophone performance depends on the duration of the performance, the line-up, the date, travel, sound system needs and possible song requests.

Can a saxophonist perform at a wedding?
Yes. Saxophone works well for the ceremony, the couple’s entrance, cocktail hour, dinner background music or an energetic DJ + sax party later in the evening.
Do you perform in Helsinki and the surrounding region?
Yes. I perform in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and elsewhere in Uusimaa, and I am also available for events throughout Finland and abroad.
Can a saxophonist play background music without a band?
Yes. Solo saxophone can work very well as background music, either acoustically or with high-quality backing tracks and a sound system, depending on the venue and event.
Is DJ + sax possible?
Yes. DJ + sax is especially suitable for events where you want danceable music, live energy and a visually impressive performance element.
Can you play song requests?
Usually, yes. A few song requests can often be included when agreed on early enough.

Saxophonist
As a saxophonist, I perform widely in event music, private celebrations and on concert stages. I care about creating the right atmosphere, being present in the moment and making the music feel vivid, stylish and approachable for the listener.
I work in various live line-ups, bands and event settings, and I can also combine saxophone playing with vocals and a broader stage presence when the occasion calls for it.
The saxophone is also an important instrument for me in my own artistic projects, improvisation and chamber music. I play baritone saxophone in Aava Saxophone Quartet, with whom I have performed for more than ten years in concert series around Finland and premiered music by composers including Veli Kujala, Paavo Korpijaakko and Tuomas Turriago.
I have appeared as a saxophone soloist with Saimaa Sinfonietta, the Lapland Chamber Orchestra and Vaasa City Orchestra, and I have also worked with ensembles such as the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra. I have played saxophone in the Finnish Guards Band for nearly twenty years.
